Teleport as NOC |
| |
|
IoStar International uses
the teleport of REACH at Stanley, Hong Kong and Arqiva
at Chalfont Grove in London for all it's uplinking requirements.
The strategic advantage that was achieved using the
REACH & Arqiva (iDirect) Teleport facilities was
that the IoStar platform could use the Mediaport facilities
of REACH & Arqiva and uplink from the same premises
to the NSS-6, NSS 703 Satellites of Newskies, SESAT2
of Eutelsat, Telstar 18 Satellite of Loral, ABS1 of
Asia Broadcast Satellites and ST1 of Singapore Telecom.
IoStar uses a 13m Ku Band Antenna at Hong Kong and a 7.6m at Lodon for uplinking. The Antennas and the RF power are designed such that the NOC can receive and transmit even under turbulent weather conditions.
As the Internet backbone is locally accessible at the Teleports, the Uplink/Downlink Internet ports are directly connected to a Tier 1 Internet Provider. This avoids all possibility of latency and last mile issues providing the end user a very high level of Internet stability.
Features of the Hong Kong Teleport:

- One-stop access to world-class global fibre network.
- Spare inventory of ground communication equipment.
- Competitive pricing.
